Sustainable Spaces Architect

Paul Dowsett is the founding Principal Architect at SUSTAINABLE.TO. He has more than three decades of residential, institutional and commercial sustainable design and project-management experience, local and international. At the core of Paul’s philosophy and practice is the belief that design and construction solutions should be simple, sensitive, and sustainable.

He brings a creative design perspective not only to the design and development of physical buildings, but to creating unique experiential spaces for companies at every stage of their evolution – in alignment with our changing environment. He also is on the boards of several NPFs in a volunteer capacity. This includes Board President for Ontario Track 3 Ski Association. Teaching children with disabilities to ski and to snowboard, through Safety, Fun and Learning; and, Vice Chair Board of Directors, Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario; and, Board Director, Toronto Botanical Garden.

Recent Honors & Awards include Best Design Firm, award honouring the best of Toronto by NOW Magazine Readers’​ Choice Award; LEED Platinum for Homes by Canada Green Building Council, and Healthy Housing Recognition Award in recognition of STO’s commitment to healthy housing for Canadians.
